As a parent and as a teacher, I know investing in education is key to long-term health and long-standing fiscal stability.  I will not saddle our children, the future of our economy, with unmanageable debt, but I will make certain their future is rooted in a solid educational foundation.  I would:

Expand pre-school opportunities by subsidizing tuition for those unable to afford it.

Empower primary schools to respond to local needs through the development of robust and dynamic evaluation tools that allow and encourage the creation of programs addressing that specific community.

Increase access to affordable higher education through state-sponsored grant and loan programs.
